Sunday, August 24, at Canada Games Rugby Park

Lovely sunshine, no wind, a pitch to die for. all made for a beautiful day for a rugby game.

The play in the first half  was relatively even with the Barbs leading 10-5 at the conclusion. The second half started out that way with each team scoring a try in the first 10 minutes. The Barbs suddenly got their act together, scoring four unanswered tries and another near the end of the game to wrap up their eighth win of the season. This second game and second win of the weekend was a good test of the Barbs’ determination, durability, strength and stamina.

Jim Ritchie led the Barbs’ scoring with two tries. Brother Andrew made a try and two converts. Jamie Bartz,  Brad Lewis and Shawn Sarkonak made a single try apiece.
